I have a question for anyone out there who may have an answer. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the weather is typically like in Jamaica in mid-September?

Thanks Login. We had decided on a Jamaica wedding but I'm starting to be nervous about our mid-Sept date we chose.

Erm ... Dragon? Yeah, I'd rethink the LOCATION if you are set on a mid-Sept date. What about the Pacific side of things? : )

Yes, we're starting to think maybe the Pacific side of Mexico would work better. Honestly so long as I get sunshine, warm weather and a king sized bed I'll be happy.

I would definitely be concerned about hurricane season when going with a September date.
Pick somewhere in the Pacific that has a volcano.

Mmmm.. September wedding...

.. hot sunshine, beautiful hotel rooms [enormous beds], tropical plants, air conditioning when you need it, American breakfast included, swimming pools, lovely, friendly people - who present small wicker trays with rice, fruit and flowers to their gods every day (the sparrows and doves love it !)..

.. may I suggest Bali ?

Sounds beautiful but a bit far away. I don't think our wedding geusts would fly that far (though my Maid of Honour is from Australia so it would make things easier for her). Lovely suggestion though.

Baldur loves the German train diorama on steroids.
I should take out my bin of Lego blocks (Baldur has a good barrelful) and build the next rendition of boughbreak.

You 'paint' a wonderful picture of Bali, marg ... very enticing.

I've just read marg's image of Bali too and have suddenly put it top of my wish list!

mmm.. should add something about the beautiful beaches & off-shore islands, magical volcanic interior (great white water rafting !), with temples rising out of the mists, distant paddy-fields & water buffalo, the reef just off the beaches, with great scuba diving..

.. or the million little shops and stalls and mad, keen emphasis on bargain hunting (or 'shopping'), the wonderful family shrines (monuments) and fantastic statues (carefully wrapped in beautiful cloth), everywhere you look, the burning incense sticks and flower petals neatly wrapt up on the pavement, the kids waving at you and people just saying 'hallo'..

.. and yep, it's a bit of a way to go, but a lot of Americans go there, because it IS so cheap and so beautiful.. also, I thought you were considering your honeymoon, sorry !

8294. 5 Jan 2011 03:19

marg

oohh.. and it's got the most stupendous volcano ! [last erupted in 1964]

However, to more serious matters..

Baldur.. I noted that you reported a couple of new threads in the Think Draw Feedback forum, and, in fact, I also reported the first one. By the time I got to the second one, however, I was laughing too much.

The wonderful 'Renwik, Knut and Rhobar' [by hipGlillapelm] advocates tote bags, and considers the option of
recyclable canvas bags proffered by grocery stores and supermarkets, and the violent expiration ones … which apparently ‘are making a great splash on the runways’

Then there are the
"Originator totes peculiarly, made from over the hill leather"
..just couldn't work out what the 'over the hill' bit alluded to !

.. and the one that made me FOFL..
"How pre-eminently a free do you beggary the tote to be?"

After that, the statement from the Giacomo and Yokian entry:

The most general resolution of ‘Getting Up to Speed with Rich Internet Applications (Adobe Developer Library)’ is as a agency occupied through despite making filthy lucre online;

seemed fairly sensible to me..

I've gotta guess that 'over the hill leather' comes from elderly cows. As for how one would beggary the tote to be, I'm flummoxed.

Baldur was a wise man to hold on to his Lego. I miss mine. (And my Light Bright too!)
