~~~AWARD OF THE "GOLDEN PEN"~~~
Well I have to say. This challenge was fun but a bit long. A note I will keep for next time.
After looking at all of the submissions and there were some really great ones!!
Although Robin does not seem to like the faces theme she by far had the most submissions.
Dragon and Five have amazing styles that are always fun and engaging.
Solo, midnight, and Qsilv always have imaginative art that seem to never fail to bring a smile to my face.
KM had great detail and imagination!!
Matthew what are we going to do with you???
Rach your poem was hilarious, i had never heard it before
And LaDonna oh so sweet.
But after ALL of the submission I will pass the "Golden Pen" off to Lynspotter. The art was imaginative and multiple, great detail and deserving of this award!
I look froward to seeing what the next challenge is!
Congratulations Lynnspotter! Zero, this challenge was the most fun I have come across and inspired my ongoing insect theme, so thanks for thinking of it! (Even if you did have to choose that dumb faces medium!) Actually, most of my bugs were from faces but sometimes I just couldn't get the colors I wanted out of it, so I resorted to cheating! I knew I was sacrificing any hopes of the golden pen, but willingly made the sacrifice in the name of art! (Or maybe laziness!) lol Really, Zero, this was a very imaginative challenge and I loved it. Now Lynnspotter, I'll be interested in what you come up with to carry on this legacy!
Wow Zero, I guess I never expected this! My boys really liked Silverstein as they grew up, & I was just having fun! I will think about it & decide by tonight!
Sorry if this one's rather late - I actually started it on the 24th May.. but you know how things go !
Someone read this to us in junior school, and it's always stuck in my mind - it's called 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost.. and my half-finished picture is a poor attempt to convey the real picture I have in my mind :
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
