Sounds as if QSilv got it, too! Just posted the answer on Baldur's answer channel. It was a fun one, perfect for this time of year!

nodnod.... a perfect gift to us all! (and yep... those repeats did it for me.)

I had debated moving the comma but my source material had it where I put it.
Baldur figured it was an ethnic thing.

As it was some of the words got tweaked a wee bit too.

Thanks for keeping our minds working at this time of year, Baldur!

Baldur

You're welcome.
In the text there was a term of endearment that I changed.
In the original it was 'Jo'

Baldur, glad you liked those sidewalk pics. I get them via email too. Happy you've cried yourself out for now. It's not easy. But, great to see you back! Am sure lots of TD-ers had you, Robert and cat in their hearts. This one did.

As for your weird email, I didn't get one, but nice compliment that someone thinks you are manager of TD. And, that topic leads into something about which marius has wondered. How one can say something privately on TD without an exchange of email? I'd be wary to post my email on the internet as Baldur did - but am thrilled he did as now I have lovely beads. : )

The difficulty is that sometimes there have been occasions where I wished to say a thing or two with some privacy. Itrw one simply steps to another room and that's easy, but the internet is an odd part of the real world and there seem no way to satisfactorily speak with some privacy here. It makes for some awkward feelings or confusion or???

Example: Some things um, er, "happened" on TD right before Christmas. I do not wish to revisit that thread and stir up old pots, but have wanted somewhere to say thanks to Baldur and others for support. Have wanted to say thanks because even though I can and do "go on missions," it about does me in, takes an emotional toll so to speak and the support helped. So, not knowing where or how to say "thanks" to everyone, I am saying it here, now, ... but it'd be nice if there was something like a "personal envelopes" section where I could have said it.

Yes, know there is the option to add a thanks under someones picture, but this may be an episode others wish to forget and maybe people don't want a reminder of unpleasantness stuck to the bottom of comments on their picture? Okay, stop laughing ... I get very confused about such things. There is actually a term for it, "neurotic stupidity." (giggle - I have some, can you tell?) And ... yes, way back when all this was happening, I could have posted a thanks in that thread but I didn't want to add anything more to that than was absolutely required. Sigh. Smile.

Another example that comes to mind is the other night when sheftali and Qsilv and I "sat" with tater. That was difficult for me too (I'm such a wimp) and I wanted to send a private note to sheft and Qsilv and tell them how much I appreciated their kind words, their wisdom, their perspectives and so forth! I wanted to do it privately cause, well, it's the way I am. Since I can't do it privately ... THANKS and THANKS and THANKS sheft and Qsilv!

Anyone have brilliant thoughts about this? It is obvious that I do not. And, hehehe, it's not the first time for lacking brilliance in thought. : )

PS Login, just now read the "headings for the forums" and duh, I get why marg wants people to stick to to topic in TD Feedback! Had apparently never really read the topic sections before. Tee hee - told you there are areas where I just don't get it. : )

PSS Nice cryptogram, Earl of Baldurwick!

heya, marius..

.. first up - good on you for everything you've been, done, and said recently.. mostly I caught up later, but admired you guys when I did..

..second, I back your idea of a 'private envelope' totally - there are so many times when I just want to leave a personal message for someone, without necessarily having every one else see.. whether that be a 'thanks', a 'where are you', or whatever..

.. third.. why not create a free 'new' email address and let people on TD know that one (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, or google) ? .. then you can choose who you tell your 'real' address to.. ?

Anyway.. don't underestimate the rather belated support and friendship that lots of us feel.. well, me, anyway.. and there's quite a 'lots' of me after Christmas !

nod... marius, just go to google and set up a gmail account. You can have more than one, they're completely free, and gmail does about the best job around of handling email (and honey, I've dealt with dozens).

I'm QsilvW@gmail.com ...I don't display that in my profile here, just mention it now and then in the forums.

The idea of personal mailboxes is terribly interesting, I wonder if that's possible on a site like this or if it would be too much work for Rachel to implement. Being only barely computer literate I'm not sure if that would work here.
marius (or anyone else for that matter) if you ever have a private comment for me you're welcome to e-mail me, my address is on my profile page. Just make sure you mention your Think Draw name in the subject line because I don't open e-mails if I don't know who they're from.

Here's a word game my Mom used to pass out over the holidays.

Hint: sometimes the word part might not be spelled or pronounced exactly the way the "hint word" is spelled.

Example:
(rhymes with dear) _ _ _ + (sounds like uh) _ +
(to pick out, select) _ _ _

..............this becomes "Mere - a - cull" and then Mir-a-cle, Miracle! Get it?

Had to see if the spaces worked, they do ... now for the word game.

1. (not at the beginning or at the end) _ _ _ + (opposite of day) _ _ _ _ _

2. (girl's name) _ _ _ _ + (boy's name minus last vowel) _ _ + (to shorten a skirt) _ _ _

3. (to look with your eyes minus one vowel) _ _ + (to challenge, minus the "e") _ _ _

4. (spell sound before "m") _ _ + (sign for victory) _ + (spelling of letter before "T") _ _ .

5. (liquid snow) _ _ _ _ + (animals with antlers) _ _ _ _

6. (to kill) _ _ _ _ + (things that ring) _ _ _ _ _

7. (a metal) _ _ _ + (what retailers do, minus the last letter) _ _ _ (

8. (past tense of come) _ _ _ _ + (letter before "m") _.

9. (smart) _ _ _ _ + (opposite of women) _ _ _

10. (Strange boy's name, or dog name) _ _ _ _ + (group of animals) _ _ _ _

11. (God took one of Adam's) _ _ _ + (what a dog chews minus the last letter) _ _ _

12. "C" + (past tense of move very fast) + _ _ _ + (naked spelled differently) _ _ _ + (second vowel) _

13. (a direction) _ _ _ _ _ + (something matthew likes, but no dancing!) _ _ _ _

14. (what you do with a knife) _ _ _ _ + (boy's name minus last vowel) _ _

15. (girls' name) _ _ _ _ _ + (Boy's name) _ _ _ _ _ + ("tea") _ + (church for some, minus last letter) _ _ _.

16. (rocket) _ _ _ _ _ _ + (part of foot) _ _ _

Will post the answer in Baldur's answer channel at some point.
