marius try: 'Zolda Pranken Kopek Lum'
That spell was used on 'Bewitched' for a couple different problems.

Baldur also quickly threw together a small batch of pizza dough whilst solving marius' cryptogram.
I'm having onion, roasted red pepper and Spanish olive pizza.
Robert is having pepperoni, roasted red pepper and Spanish olive pizza.

Marius, I will be trying your cryptogram later tonight, however, Tuesdays are my recovery day after my 3 twelve-hour night shifts. I only sleep a few hours or I would be up all night, so I'm not sure I will be able to do a cryptogram until tomorrow after a good (hopefully) night's sleep.

But, speaking of dyslexia, I was wondering if you ever heard about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac???

He lays awake all night wondering if there really IS a dog! LOL

You guys are too funny!

Baldru, I have more admiration than ever for your puzzle-creating talents! Making my first ever crypto about drove me batty ... no, it DID drive me batty. But, so glad you enjoyed cause finally dawned on me that YOU do all the work, we have all the fun ... so the crypto was a personal thanks. No more blushing now. Hope others will give it a try. Won't post answers for a while. What's the norm? Several days?

btw, how was the pizza and doesn't Robert like onions?

And, yes Baldur, you DID post the answer, but my version has a different sentence thing near the end. Didn't mention it in the answer thread because I'm too confusde right now adn dylsexa is mreo pronouncde than erve. Probalbly a punctuation error on my prat. ANd, doens't make a big difference anyway. : )

I hate it when I get a punctuation error on my prat! I'm looking forward to attempting your crypto marius, but I'm not very good at them so I see how far I get.

Robert hates onions, at least visible ones.
He however has no problem if I puree them so they disappear into the recipe.
Baldur on the other hand endeavors to eat the equivalent of a large onion each day. No not raw, though sometimes I will have a little raw onion on a salad or veggie burger.

That was great fun marius!

Baldur, I'm the same way about mushrooms. If I can see them or feel them in my mouth I can't stand them. If I can't feel them I have no problem with them. I prefer them to be either big enough to pick out or small enough not to notice. I think we could eat a whole onion every day too, it's probably our favorite veggie around here.

Bravo Dragon and Robin! Somewhere, waaay back in this thread, Sir Baldur told how he does cryptograms. I'd like to add a step for persons with dyslexia ... create it over a two or three day period. : )

PS Have posted final answer in Baldur's answer thread because errors in Baldur's answer were due to MY incorrect punctuations and missleppings, and they were bugging me. : )

LOL ... it was the misslepping that threw me!

Baldur

Another wonderful rainy day in Primrose. Baldur is quite happy that the rain will keep me from hauling wheelbarrows full of topsoil down the road today.
It's probably a good day to start putting up the cold weather draperies, which isn't all that difficult but involves rummaging through closets.
If I had my druthers there would always be bittersweet chocolate brown velvet drapes puddling on the floor in the living room, but Robert is opposed to such stagnant design.
He prefers the window treatments to get changed frequently.

He had a conniption (+8 points) when first meeting me and learning of my window treatment methodology. The Baldur penthouse had 11 identical windows that needed covering. The apartment however was at the highest point in the neighborhood and being a penthouse was on the top floor. Under such circumstances it was unnecessary to cover the top half of each window. I purchased 11 pairs of indentical ivory muslin cafe' curtains and used them everywhere. Every so often they all came down, were laundered and went immediately back up. It was all very simple, and the penthouse was flooded with sunlight.
Baldur had removed the jumble of assorted hardware from the top portion of the window frames, puttied the myriad (+4 points) of nail and screw holes and painted everything.

Baldur

My saga wandered a bit.
Today the bittersweet chocolate brown draperies (+rie in the previous comment) are going up for the autumn season.
I will be coerced to change them before the holidays, Baldur should just go buy similar ones in forest green and have them on hand.

The draperies are up, Baldur also used the opportunity to remove the windowboxes full of annuals, vacuum the sills, put up the screens and lower the storm windows on the front of the house. The other windows are still in summer mode so it will be possible to air out the house a bit before sealing everything up for the winter.

In the process of all this Baldur had time to think about the window beads. I went and took out the bead bowl and then went to the hidden bead stash. It seems there are plenty to keep me occupied through at least the early winter. The bowl with the current color palette can perhaps provide 4 full strands. When that starts to bottom out the backup is a mixture of a deep pine needle green, copperish and antique gold glass beads.
Then I may actually use the tiny cobalt blue beads.
Baldur has very little blue in the decor here at the Chez, it is by far the most unrepresented color. I do however see the benefit in using some to make the other colors 'pop'.
The color scheme here is very earthy without being beige if that makes any sense. There are lots of ambers, bronzes, golds, chocolate and honey tones everywhere.
The living room has a fair amount of garnet and russet, the kitchen veers into the yellow/orange range and the master bedroom heads toward the greens with a newly retro paintjob the color of split pea soup ('Exorcist' green as the paint mixologist at Home Depot called it).

I guess Robert was impressed with all this domesticity, he told me we're going out to dinner this evening.
There is a newer Chinese buffet in Woonsocket that is quite good. The older one is also good, but this one is better.
Around here it seems that each buffet has perhaps 2 good years before the food quality dwindles.
Perhaps they lose their cooks to other venues or it could be that greed sets in and they start to look for cheaper alternatives to popular items.
Locally these restaurants charge less than $10 (USD) per person at dinnertime, slightly less at lunch.
Beverages are extra, but soft drinks are generally $1.50 with unlimited free refills. Beer is a bit more, and no free refills there.
The menu has many oriental items on it, not strictly Chinese, Sushi for example is often an option.
But beyond the oriental choices there are plenty of occidental items too:
a salad bar
fried chicken
baked ham
French fries
Fried onion rings
Macaronian cheese (Baldur has called it that for years)
Mashed potatoes
Pizza
Meatloaf
Fried breaded seafood (clams, shrimp, scallops)
Corn on the cob
etc etc etc

Being a vegetarian it is easier to dine at these types of places.
They always have sauteed fresh green beans, assorted stir-fried veggies and plenty of fresh fruit. Some of the rice and noodle dishes contain meat but plenty do not.
One just needs to pay attention when selecting items. The California Sushi rolls there are generally Nori wrapped around rice, avocado and cucumber.
If I go past the shrimp sushi which are so popular with everyone else and choose the California roll with wasabi paste and pickled ginger life is good.
