We are lucky enough to have a rural property which has cliffs with orchids (only little ones!), trees, a creek and waterhole and lots of wildlife, including many wallabies (like small kangaroos), possums, sugar gliders and the occasional koala. There are also echidnas, snakes, goannas and a multitude of birds, other small mammals and reptiles. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

It is currently winter here, so our grass has all dried to a brilliant golden colour. We have two dogs, and take them for a walk every day. This picture was copied from a photograph I took during today's walk, and shows my daughter ahead of me on the track through the long grass, looking back towards one of our dogs, Shadow.

Just a few more hours left in this challenge if you want to submit something. There have been some amazing entries. I will be picking a winner tomorrow morning. Thanks to everyone so far.

This is my world ... the view from my home. It's something that I don't have to work at ... just to appreciate. Sometimes misty and mysterious, sometimes crisp and clear but the hues change constantly throughout the day.

I'm so carried away by my lovely view that I fail to post the drawing:

Beautiful. Reminded me of home in the Blue Ridge Mts. of Va. then realized where you were. Thank you.

I've heard how beautiful the blue ridge mountains are, mdawrcn. My distant view is just a hill but the sight of it never fails to please me.

Thanks to everyone for sharing with me a glimpse into their world, with both previously done and new work. It is all so interesting to me. It is tough to choose - I love Clorophylla's trees and login's hill - but I pass the baton to mum23 for her drawing of Today's Walk. Congratulations!

And login, it is VERY dry here too. I was trying to draw a rain dance figure, but couldn't quite get it. Hopefully will get some rain today.
