I'd add one thing.
If you get 10 votes, you 'd mostly not get to TOP5. However you will belong to a very "select club", the one that whatever calculation you want (most rated or highest rated in whatever category), will be between less than 1% and 12% of the pics in the website.

There are13,612 posts on the Forum Pages (as of the morning of 8/30/2009)
1926 post of these posts are on Channel Baldur.
That is approximately 1/7 of the total.
This is quite frightening.

Mel: Great to see you in the forums! I for one have been commenting more on your piks lately because they have been different. I like the new circular patterns and you've been using more color. Also like I said in the comments you make some really pretty landscapes and you've been doing them again. See there is at least one TDer who follows you. I know everyone else does too. You may be the king of Goth, but you are the champion of the faithful aritist and do a great deal of commenting on others work and that is appreciated. I try to draw every day and lately they've been "bad drawing" days, but I do contribute faithfully. Just my style I guess. Wish the "masterartists" would contribute more often. Trust me I work 50 plus hours a week. Well enough babbling. Instead of reading more "something to do other than drawing" I'll finish up my perusal of forums and draw. Good evening everyone! Polenta, my interpretation of the wide differences in your calculations, between 'Highest Rated' and 'Most ratings', is what most of us have been saying for months ... Highest Rated gave a false reading because it could be so easily manipulated. I won't be sorry to see it phased out.

I want to put in my two cents worth..
polenta i think some of the gothic drawings on TD are great and some not so great..I even submmit some of those myself (not so great) ..I submmit them because of the time spent doing them..I think Login may be right about them being patterns as a matter of fact i have called a lot of THAT,,I have done some landscapes and even face drawings as well tho in gothic
DOUG thanks for the kind words,I do gothic because i don't even have to think about them while doing one ,the other drawings are a little harder for me to do..I do think i have a little feel for landscapes tho.
To me all the drawing on TD look great because of the colors and so forth..I enjoy everybodys work.I look back in the gallery every day,to see what others have done and to get inspired too..
