Baldur

I'd never thought to try that, though cream is rarely found here at Chez Baldur unless we are expecting a crowd for coffee or breakfast.

Milk (and cream by default) by itself has never been a favorite of mine, probably haven't had a glass of milk in 20 years.
But make cheese or ice cream out of it, or cook it into something and Baldur is right there.

We don't keep milk in the house andwill only settle for half & half if there's no other option but yeah, we all go for the heavy cream I even put it in my tea.

I know it's traditional to use milk and I believe the Brits use condensed or some such but I love the fat!

Baldur

Well I'm off to bed, having caused enough trouble for one evening.
matthew just added a new picture to the main gallery, of a guy who seems to be looking for the answer to this puzzle too.
Have a great evening solosater, and anyone else quietly working on this puzzle.

until tomorrow

I can not even get them in the right order I assume... It looked like such an easy clue... But can not find but one up/down word & that can be random luck...

So... Till tomorrow...

Baldur

Baldur may need to take a little vacation while you all diligently work on the puzzle.
I thought by now someone would find the other clue.

waaaahh.. only just seen this ! can you all please just whisper the answer until I get a chance to read back through however many pages are concerned ???

Baldur.. can you get Oscar to bury the answer for a day ?

Baldur, at a glance, I can't figure out this puzzle at all, but I am on my work schedule right now, and no sleep= low IQ. It will be at least Wed. before I'll have time to contemplate this with any hope of comprehension, let alone solution! But I'm watching for clues and would even welcome the answer, just so I can understand the directions easier!

Here is the puzzle again, nothing has changed but maybe it looks less daunting this way

1773. 24 Aug 2009 09:42

matthew

I assumed...

And placed the lines in alphabetical order ... The AA line 1st followed by the AC line etc...

But I find only forward & backward words... No diagonal or up & down...

So...

I assume that my assumption was asinine...

1774. 24 Aug 2009 09:42

matthew

Perhaps I should consult with Chez Buldar...

Baldur

Let Baldur re-phrase the directions.

The puzzle consists of 24- letter strings

You need to shuffle the 24 strings of letters, each string will remain unchanged, just in a different location. None are inverted, flipped over or otherwise altered in the course of solving this puzzle.

When you have shuffled the strings you will have a block of letters to use for your word search puzzle.

To help you find their correct order Baldur created a separate group of words labeling each string.
These are not part of the word search game.
It is a logic puzzle, when you determine the correct order of the 24 words move them with their corresponding 24-letter strings into the new sequence.

Take the block of letters (I do recommend transferring them to an evenly spaced grid such as graph paper) and begin your word search.

Baldur

matthew your assumption was clever, but not correct.

When the lines are in the correct order you will know it with just a quick glance. The logic puzzle really helps if you can crack it.
There is even a helpful clue hidden elsewhere on this site (not in the Forums)
The guy in your 'Naked Canyon' drawing last night was looking right at the clue. Well at least last night he was.

Baldur

Mr Naked Canyon has moved since then.

Well that is true, he seemed to be looking right at a drawing of mine in the Gallery. Baldur did his darndest to get solosater to look at it last night but to no avail

Fear not clever puzzler. I have seen the light, darnit I can't do much at work but as soon as I get home I'm all over it. You're right, once you see it it all falls into place!
