Baldur

Robin and Dragon, I am quite surprised there were not a dozen typos.
Baldur after all does all his typing with his index finger.

It's a shame matthew doesn't join in on our word games, especially the upcoming one. Maybe he will join in this time.

Baldur - I'm with Robin, felt pretty nit-picky to have pointed out the mis-spelling. So, forgive me too?

And, I did notice you got Matthew in there again. That made me smile. How you do that I'll never know. T

hanks again for the crypto - I used to have that memorized too. When I was a teenager it was GREAT to share with certain small ones when babysitting. Many truly liked it! : )

All is forgiven, I actually want to know about the typos. I'm generally not shy about correcting others.

YEXODQ -Q = YEXOD

ZULY ZALYQ ?, Is that a Southern thang?
Baldur would imagine you prefer ZAB$ON ZAAT

Wish I was better at solving cryptograms. This thread had been very hard to follow lately.

What made matthews crytptogram so good is that he also substituted out the punctuation marks

Baldur

Dragon, we will try a different game on this site soon.
It's in the works right now.
matthew, that was very nice of you to join our fun this evening. Somehow it doesn't surprise Baldur that you monitor our broadcast.

Baldur never misses it either.
A day without Baldur is like, well it's like a day without Baldur

Oh Matthew--loved your cryptogram. Sheftali hasn't ZULYOR since she retired two years ago. Please see my rudimentary (+5) effort in the gallery.

Baldur

Since Radio Baldur seems to be all about me, I wonder how many of you have thougt about the pronunciation of your host's name?
You never hear it spoken, it is always written.

This topic came up at the cookout held here on the 8th. There were several guests that had never actually met me before.
One of them came up and anounced he had seen my profile on a social sight, and knew my screen name was Baldur, which he pronounced as 'Ball-der'.
NO NO NO
I did gently correct him before sending him off in the direction of the cheese tray.
It is pronounced in a manner that rhymes with 'pal'-'curr'
The 'a' is not softened like the 'o' sound.
Think of the 'a' in Calvinism, salute, or valium.
The 'u' sound is not divorced from the 'r' but neither is it mimicking an 'e'.
Think of the 'u' in cursive, furrier or nursery.

marius, I just noticed your profile picture, the old door. Baldur does not recall seeing it before and it is truly amazing.
I sense the need to visually plagiarize this, do not be shocked if I borrow your theme.
