Here is a pic of one of those fresh strawberry pies from Marie Callender's. You can only get them during strawberry season. The crust is a shortbread crust that is sooooooo good! You can only get them at the restaurants, not in the frozen foods. Only the best for you, Lilalee!

Ode to Baldur

In a land better known as New England,
In a ranch house of thirty-nine years,
Lives a man of a great many talents
With hair on his back and his beard.

The people online felt they knew him
And pictured his burley frame.
The monkey tattoo was endearing,
And his radio show gave him fame.

His art brought him to our attention
(Those details of Doctor Bear!)
His humor attracted the masses
With stories of backs with hair.

He started a blog in the forum
With cooking and gardening tips.
His "listeners" checked on it daily
To hear what would spill from his lips.

We all felt we'd been to Chez Baldur
And sat on his antique chair.
While sipping on tea with some crumpets,
And eating some vegan fare.

His mind works in ways that most wouldn't
And entertains all who engage.
From telling a simple story,
To giving advice like a sage.

A "listener" named Robin D. Cradle,
(So grateful was she for his time),
Decided to honor Sir Baldur
By using her gift of rhyme.

Now Robin it seems can be lazy,
And patience was never her trait.
Although it would have been fitting,
A cryptogram gift wasn't fate.

So thank you our cyberspace guru,
The DeeJay of our radio.
The drawing and artwork is lovely,
But the forum is better than Poe!

Robin that was fantastic. How perfectly you summed up the joys of Channel Baldur.

I have to admit in regards to the cryptogram, I'm terrible at them and I actually didn't figure it out at all. I drew my pie to Baldur's face in retaliation for his Alligator Pie to mine (which I just had to put in my favorites ) I'm thouroughly enjoying the pie throwing though.
