I happen to like drawing food. Pretty sure it started as a youngsterl in Japan where the restaurants have exact plastic molded visual menus of the dishes/drinks that they serve displayed in their windows . We had plenty of laughs when my mom and her sisters would pull a prank on somebody when adding a fake in with the real stuff. So here it is draw any kind of food you want. Deadline 7.20.2010

Dragon

Should probably be pork tenderloin rather than lorn. Sounds yummy, especially the squash, I love squash.

Wow fellow TDers. I was expecting to tell Clorophilla that I would probably be handing the "Baton" back , due to no entries. Awesome food pics and even a recipe(Suzze) . Thank you.

Omg Dragon your right, loin. I will have to rewrite the recipe on real paper....it;s written that way from the person that gave it to me many years ago....that's what I get for not proofreading and writing while watching a movie . Thank you!

Thank you, bhughes! I'm honoured!

... but... there are currently three other challenges running; Favourite flowers, Landmarks and Josh Holloway. Somebody has already said that they can't keep up with trying to participate in so many challenges... so, I'm wondering about not running another one from here.

What does anybody think? Do you have time and inclination to take part in whatever I come up with, or would you rather just have a few challenges going at a time?

I'll leave it up to you good folks. Please let me know what you think... if most of the responses indicate that you want another one, I'll happily do so. I'm equally happy to let this one stop here if that is what the majority want.

I'll come back in about 24 hours and see what you've told me! Thanks all!

Qsilv

These challenges are self-leveling in that we have the option of joining or not, and with as few or many entries as each one tickles us into.

Even old themes repeated with the merest variation in focus are often exactly the nudge we need to get us grinning. Occasionally a truly fascinating concept lands at the wrong time (I'm so sorry to have missed a couple recent ones).... there's just never really any predicting it...

...so I'd definitely go ahead and set up another.

I'd keep the numbering going as well, if possible, on the two classics, ("Mugdots" and "Challenge"). There have always been the occasional other small ones that pop up, stand alone and are fun too.

Choice is empowering!

clorophilla

Yes I agree with Qsilv. In fact, I'm the one who said "how many challenges", but these two (the numbered ones) must go on, the others being an optional for me. And yes, we can choice if join or not.

go on Mum!

Mum23. if you want you can pass the baton to either of the two runner-ups. I myself was involved in one too many challenges so I completely understand.

mum23

Thanks for the responses Qsilv and clorophilla, and also to you bhughes for the chance to 'opt out', although that was never my intention. The masses have voted (both of them!) and it is unanimous.... the Challenge will go on!

Another challenge topic has been decided - I hope to see you there!

Thanks for carrying on, mum ... 'love the new challenge idea. I hope to make time to draw for 'forces of nature', despite being away from the computer for most of the week.
