The new mugdots challenge is to share images of favorite poems and/or poets. It would be nice to share a line or two of the poem, too.

Happy to see old drawings added here, but only new drawings will be eligible to carry the challenge cup this go around. I'll make my pick a week from today (so next Sunday).

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Sorry about so many old ones, but putting pictures to poetry is something I've been doing for a while...I still have several in my head I'm trying to figure out how to do...maybe I'll get them up for the challenge if I can find more than 5 minutes to sit still, and provided I get something on ThinkWrite before the "Monster Man" comes to haunt me.

Sure, Shanley -- song lyrics count. We did song titles as a showcase a while back, so more lyrics, less titles.

The caged bird sings
with fearful trill
of the things unknown
but longed for still
and is tune is heard
on the distant hillfor the caged bird
sings of freedom

I was listening
To time passing
Slipping quietly
Past falling feet
And coffee cups
Candles and kisses
Sheets of paper
Shuffled fingers
Dripping slyly
Fleeing shyly
Minutes
Move
Away

Ah God! One sniff of England --
To greet our flesh and blood --
To hear the traffic slurring
Once more through London mud!
Our towns of wasted honour --
Our streets of lost delight!
How stands the old Lord Warden?
Are Dover's cliffs still white?

This is the last verse from the poem The Broken Men and my pic is done how do I transfer to here?
