The solution is so obvious. I will NOT reveal the user's ID in case I'm wrong. But there is only ONE single user in the Highest Rated view of the Gallery whose personal gallery's Highest Rated matches their Most Ratings.

They forgot to blitz themselves.

Their motive was to get higher in the Highest Rated pages.

My main clue was which of my pictures they voted down and at what vote count they left images alone.

If ThinkDraw is interested I will share my theory with them.

I just went through all the forums and verified this particular user has no interest in the issue of the ratings system - or at least posting about the issue anyways...

...There are tons of people who will have their highest & most ratings match. As my wife has said, she is so glad her pics don't bring enough attention to draw jealous votes. I bet her pics match pretty closely & she made the top 5 for the 1st time last month...

...She did get one of her pics blitzed, but only because she accidently made a pic under my username... If it is mine it WILL be hit. just a fact I face.

...So point fingers if you want, but I bet you are wrong & will only hurt & alienate a good person...

Matthew - of course you're correct. Which is why I'm not revealing the username.

But you're completely wrong about one thing. No one on the highest ratings pages has this perculularity. No one. Except one!

They are also the only person with more than ten votes on any of their work that has solid fives across the board.

I'm not busting anyone out. But I DO know who it is...

I'm not really sure I understand what you mean Ron. I've been trying to follow along on all the ratings stuff, but it mostly leaves me confused. So how does one even determine that "highest & most ratings match"? Argh! I feel I'm so over my head....

if u go to your picture gallery, theres an option up the top to see it displayed as "most ratings" or "highest ratings"
my "most ratings pics are pretty much in order of the ones i would consider my best works. my "highest ratings" are ones that took 5 seconds to do, and are just a bit of fun, but because they then didn't attract low ratings because they were unlikely to be a risk of getting into the top 5's, they just got 4 or 5 5* votes. whereas the most ratings ones have over 10 votes, but have also been voted down, so they appear below ones that got 1 5* vote in the 'highest ratings'.

does that make sense? u can also display the whole gallery this way, and it is interesting to see the ones that get 'most votes' almost never feature in the first 4 or 5 pages of the 'highest votes'

Wow! Thank you Ernie. You explained it perfectly. And all this time when I'd really wanted to check out the spectacular artwork, I had been searching the "highest rated" databank instead of the "most ratings" one. So there's no telling how much super cool stuff I've missed. Now I need to go take a peak and leave everyone else to decide on how to do the ratings. Thanks again.

ron, everyone has been victim to some kind of blitz or sabotage at some point.

i suspect that some of the main blitzers have actually left the site, and finding the criminal that got you recently would be a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

i suspect that the solutions regarding all these issues surrounding ratings and top 5's are just around the corner.

Enough people have pointed out that it was a waste of time and the possibility of being wrong was too great.

To the unnamed person I thought it was I retract my own thoughts and apologize. I've looked again and what I had seen was likely just an anamoly.

We are all just posting our feelings and frustrations. I suspect many of us are depressed over this, I know I am. I feel this just has gone on way too long without any word that anything is being done. Of course if something is in the works we can't be told but just not knowing one way or the other is driving me crazy.

likemee got me thinking. I don't think anyone that is doing this has left the site but I have noticed that most pictures that are shoot down are shoot down twice instead of once. I still only have one person in mind but it is possible there are more than one or that one person has found a way to vote twice.

(Marg, I thought of that too but I don't think so now) I got every picture this time that had a possibility to go anywhere voted down and most voted down twice. The person I have in mind is going to win top 5 if voting happened now, because of this voting down. I never knew how to tell who had the possibility until yesterday. I just found out how to get the score count for each picture so once I knew that everything made sense to me including top rated and best score or whatever those pull down options are called. All you have to do is go to top rated, or whatever it is called, and look through them to find the current pics and then count off the first 5. Most that will get in the top 5 as of now will be low count pictures that didn't get hit.

I'm sure some of the friends know and that makes them as bad the "Blitzer". They might think it's funny, but they're just as bad!
