I should formally introduce myself. For some reason, people think I'm someone else. My name is Gilda, I live in the Chicago suburbs, and I like to create things.

I mostly work in Photoshop and various 3D programs, but I've worked with loads of different mediums including pencil, Lego, Jelly Belly jelly beans, scrap steel, candy wrappers, paper clips, scrap cloth...you name it and I can make something else out of it. I also help my husband build Lego train displays for libraries, parks, and museums.

On top of all that, I rescue reptiles and teach board games at gaming conventions in the midwest.

I found this site through a link on an unrelated Sudoku site, if I remember correctly. So far, it's been fun!

heh ...yeah, there's been a recent rash of alts for a variety of reasons. Gossip's all in the forum, if you want to poke around in it. Like any other such group, this one's got its share of politics, AND it's still quite new -- less than a year old. Sort of at that gangly adolescent phase.

The biggest reason we figured you for an alt, however, is simply that you're soooo darn good! Few if any of us blew in here with such controlled and lovely work as your first two pieces, Miss_D.

You, being able to awe us with your pixel management AND to communicate nicely, are truly welcome. New blood... er.. wait, let me rephrase that... um... nah... you'll cope! *grins*
