...this note may be superfluous, but I find (especially if I'm multi-tasking or just plain stupid-tired) that I need to keep an eye out for having accidentally clicked the zoom shortcuts --
Control and the - _ key shrinks the screen contents ...a little bit per click
Control and the = + key makes things bigger ...a little bit per click
Ctl-0 returns the sizing to base ...all at once

Other things to consider when visual things get weird (not just for you, chel) include --
the monitor's brightness controls
the possibility that you've got load-lag ...in which case it helps to shut down extra windows that are open, or even re-boot.

Gothic backgrounds seem to have shrunk - with no more diamond-panes windows. Is this happening to everyone or is there some quirk in my connection tonight?
