This is created from an actual picture of my grandpa during the Battle of the Bulge in Europe during WWII. He was one of the few Japanese American soldiers to fight for the US during that time for the Army Rangers.

awesome job, i value all veterans but WWII vets to me are the most heroic! kudos to your grandfather for not only fighting but having the courage to serve as a Japanese American. i'm sure he faced a lot of prejudice.

Beautiful. A wonderful piece of history also. So much information is being lost with the passing of our loved ones. Art is a wonderful way to preserve the events for the next generations. The events of our pasts are not always welcomed or foundly look

Wonderful tribute to your grandpa. My uncle Tsuneo served in the 100th Battalion. I wish I knew more about his service.

wonderful to do this in black/white, increases the drama of an already dramatic subject

How brave he was! His lip-line says everything about his resolution to sacrifice for this country. My father is a Korean War veteran who lost his left arm function ever after the war. I am also proud of him.
