I would love to know how some of you would have approached this pic.

Also, See the blue shining through his neck? That started popping in long after I was past that point. What's with that?

These are one amazingly large birds... You have captured it perfectly...

He is an old bird... You took so long to draw him that he developed age spots... Loved watching the play back on this...

Seriously, I have this issue a lot with my multilayered pics... Once you reach a certain number of layered pieces, you can't even cross over that area with a piece even if you don't place it anywhere near that area... There seems to be no rhyme or reason

You did an excellent job! One thing I might do different (since you asked) is a sharper beak but I may be wrong in my memory of condors. Definitely a 5, either way.

Sometimes it's impossible to get the right piece without resorting to covering up with other pieces :) For what it's worth after the fact, For the beak you could try building a whitish beak from the white horns and slightly changing the angle of the head

to give the illusion of a pointier beak while maintaining the blue sky. Changing the bird's angle slightly might also help with the shoulder (not sure). It's a really good drawing

wowww... so smoothly done, pieces all so well chosen, this really is among the best of the best. Beak? it just reads as foreshortened. Blue? oh that's reflection! (grins)

ok, I may pose this in Forum too, but let's start here-- did you notice the blue spots happening right away? or not until after you'd completed that area? I suspect you may be able to beat it by going back to just a little before it happens, installing a
